He captured everyone’s attention as he set the back drop of 1 Samuel chapter 30 where David and his 600 men returned to their homes in Ziklag to find it completely destroyed and still on fire. All their belongings including their wives and children were all missing. What a helpless and hopeless feeling they experienced.

Pastor Kev asked the question has anyone ever been in a place of discouragement and despair because of a great loss? Has anyone ever felt like life was not worth living anymore because of the tremendous pain of that loss? He talked about how in great moments of victory the enemy strikes the hardest. When we are in a place of raising our hands in victory the enemy will sneak a low blow hit in the ribs in your greatest moment. Pastor Kev also talked about those you think have your back are often times those who will attack when your back is turned.

Praise is the vehicle of faith which brings us into the presence and power of God and we must “put on” the garment of praise and walk by faith and not our surroundings.
